Indications:
For the treatment of infections caused by a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including:
Actinobacillus equuli, Actinobacillus lignieresi, Actinomyces bovis, Bacillus anthracis, Bordetella bronchiseptica, Clostridium spp., Corynebacterium spp., Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, Escherichia coli, Fusiformis spp., Haemophilus spp., Moraxella spp., Mannheimia spp., Proteus mirabilis, Salmonella spp., Staphylococci, and Streptococci.

Indications:
This product has bactericidal activity against a broad spectrum of clinically important bacteria found in large and small animals.
In vitro, the product is active against a wide range of bacteria, including strains resistant to amoxicillin alone because of beta-lactamase production:

Gram-positive:
- Actinomyces bovis
- Bacillus anthracis
- Clostridia
- Corynebacteria
- Peptostreptococcus spp.
- Staphylococci
- Streptococci

Gram-negative:
- Actinobacillus lignierisi
- Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae
- Bacteroides
- Bordetella bronchiseptica
- Campylobacter spp.
- Escherichia coli
- Fusobacterium necrophorum
- Haemophilus spp.
- Klebsiellae
- Moraxella spp.

Clinically the product is indicated for the treatment of diseases including:

Cattle:
- Respiratory infections, soft tissue infections (e.g., joint-ill/navel-ill, abscesses etc.), metritis and mastitis.
- Combined Therapy for the treatment of bovine mastitis: In the situation where systemic treatment as well as intramammary treatment is necessary, Synulox Ready-to-Use injection can be used in combination with Synulox Lactating Cow Intramammary.

Pigs:
- Respiratory bacterial infections in growing pigs.
- Colibacillosis.
- Periparturient infections in sows (e.g., mastitis, metritis and agalactia).

Dogs and Cats:
- Respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections and skin and soft tissue infections (e.g., abscesses, pyoderma, anal sacculitis, gingivitis).

Indications:
The product is indicated for antibiotic therapy in cattle, cats and dogs.
Cefalexin is a broad spectrum cefalosporin antibiotic with bactericidal activity against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
The following micro-organisms have been shown to be sensitive to cefalexin in vitro:

Gram-positive:
- Staphylococcus spp. (including penicillin-resistant strains)
- Streptococcus spp.
- Actinomyces bovis
- Corynebacterium spp.
- Haemophilus spp.
- Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae
- Clostridium spp.
- Micrococcus spp.
- Fusobacterium spp.
- Peptostreptococcus spp.

Gram-negative:
- Pasteurella spp.
- Escherichia coli
- Proteus spp.
- Salmonella spp.
- Moraxella spp.
- Actinobacillus lignieresi

When susceptible organisms are present, the product is indicated in the treatment of:

Dogs and Cats:
- Infections of the respiratory tract, urogenital tract, the skin, and localized infections in soft tissues.
- In dogs, it may also be effective in the treatment of infections of the gastrointestinal tract.

Cats Treatment of infections of the alimentary, respiratory and urogenital tracts (as adjunctive antibiotic therapy for pyometra), skin and wound infections, caused by enrofloxacin susceptible strains of: Staphylococcus spp., Escherichia coli, Pasteurella spp., Klebsiella spp., Bordetella spp., Pseudomonas spp. and Proteus spp.

Pigs (piglets) Treatment of infections of the respiratory tract caused by enrofloxacin susceptible strains of: Pasteurella multocida, Mycoplasma spp., Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae. Treatment of infections of the alimentary tract caused by enrofloxacin susceptible strains of Escherichia coli. Treatment of septicaemia caused by enrofloxacin susceptible strains of Escherichia coli.

Rabbits Treatment of infections of the alimentary and respiratory tracts caused by enrofloxacin susceptible strains of: Escherichia coli, Pasteurella multocida and Staphylococcus spp. Treatment of skin and wound infections caused by enrofloxacin susceptible strains of Staphylococcus aureus.

Rodents, reptiles and ornamental birds Treatment of infections of the alimentary and respiratory tracts where clinical experience, if possible, supported by susceptibility testing of the causal organism, indicates enrofloxacin as the substance of choice. Note: The presence of the disease in the herd should be established before treatment.
